beautiful bench tops

I am pleased as can be with our new beautiful kitchen bench tops.  The granite has been installed and it looks fabulous.  There is lots of counter space to cook or eat or spread out the homework.  The kitchen is a great centre piece of the living area now where we can congregate as a family or with friends.  The appliances and sink mixer haven't arrived from the East Coast so it isn't actually functional yet but the potential is great!  This afternoon we met friends at the river for dinner at the communal gas barbeques to alleviate the pressure of cooking without a real kitchen.  The children ran wild and fished for guppies off the jetty while we watched the sunset and sipped wine from our deck chairs.  The temperature has dropped at dawn and dusk now and the change of season is evident.  We are out of the really hot weather as autumn approaches.

Today Russell and Adam signed up to play rugby for Palmyra Rugby Club.  The setting for practices is magnificent.  The oval is situated on the river's edge and the boys will run around from 5-6pm every Thursday evening.  Thereafter we can have dinner or drinks in the clubhouse.  There is a great family vibe and I am looking forward to being back in my Wellies alongside the field again.

But for now, it's late, it's bed time.
